Cedar Valley

posted on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Grow Cedar Valley

Cedar Valley health care facilities and health care providers are asking businesses to review these guidelines before sending employees to receive COVID-19 testing.

Has your employee traveled back from a high-risk country (CDC Level 3Japan, Iran, South Korea, China and all of Europe)?

  • If YES, self-isolate in your home for 14 days. As long as you don’t have any symptoms, you do not need to come in for further testing.
  • If NO to the above question, follow below process for potential test screening

Does your employee have fever, cough, or shortness of breath?

  • If YES, answer yes/no to the below-screening questions
  • If NO, the employee is able to return to work.

Did the patient travel to an area of known transmission or taken an international cruise within the last 14 days?

  • If YES, please call Urgent Care and direct employee for testing
  • If NO, the employee does not meet the criteria for testing

OR

Did the employee have household contact with a laboratory-confirmed COVID 19 patient within the last 14 days?

  • If YES, please call Urgent Care and direct employee for testing
  • If NO, the employee does not meet the criteria for testing

These guidelines were shared on behalf of Unity Point Health. Grow Cedar Valley encourages all businesses to abide by those shared above as to not overwhelm our health care providers and ensure those needing the test are able to take it.
